When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Pink Lemonade!!
My name is Brandon Collins. I'm nine years old. I've been fundraising for Susan G. Komen since I was two year's old. That's how old I was when my Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was one year old when my Nana and Great Aunt died of the disease. My first fundraiser was called "DRINK PINK"! My teacher's painted pink mustaches on my friends and I. Then we sold pink lemonaide at my day care. For the past five years, I've been to and volunteered at dozen's of fundraisers for Susan G. Komen and I've held a bunch of my own.
Thanks to my family and friends last year I raised over $1,000 for breast cancer by selling pink donuts and pink lemonade to neighbors and friends. I will like to do the same this year. Will you consider donating?
My Dad and I will be walking in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Milwaukee too. My Mom will be high in the sky on the lift waving to the crowd.
