Fundraising Forum
Registration gets you to the start line – fundraising helps us win the race!

In addition to your Race for the Cure registration, you can help raise additional funds to fight breast cancer by collecting tax-deductible donations from family, friends, neighbors and colleagues. If every participant collected $10 from 10 friends, we could raise over $1.5 million! That’s the Power of 10!

As one participant said, “I decided just to send ONE email to all of my friends and within 24 hours they had donated more than $1,500!”  You don’t need to be a fund raising expert to be successful – you just need the desire to stand up to breast cancer and make a difference!

Build Your Personal Fundraising Page

Once you register as an individual or join a team be sure to set up your Personal Page in the Race Center. You can send email messages to your friends, family members and co-workers and they can donate money to sponsor you!  You can log in at any time to track your fundraising efforts.

Fundraising for the Cure IDEAS!

The key to fundraising is very simple: a willingness to ask.  If you are not comfortable asking for donations outright, we have plenty of ideas for a way to provide fun or a service while also raising donations.  Click here for a complete listing of fundraising ideas

Teams by the Numbers

Image Your Teams Impact!  Your team’s story is what makes the Komen Southeast WI Race for the Cure such an important and moving experience.  It’s not just about fundraising; finding a cure for breast cancer is a personal cause for each and every participant.  Last year, Scott ran in memory of his mom; Jane walked in support of her friend; Melanie walked in honor of her own struggle with breast cancer; Beth ran in memory of her sister and in support of a co-worker.  Teams are a blend of stories and these stories are the backbone of the Race.  Together, we can make a difference!
